Unstoppable. Uncontainable.
No matter what my mind thought about it.
And then, suddenly, it happened.
My midlife turning point.
Undeniably present, impossible to ignore, the only option was to follow.
I don’t know how this happens for others.
But what I do know is how often we fail to recognize the signs.
Because our minds are in the way.
Because we’ve lost touch with our bodies.
Because our survival mechanisms are so deeply ingrained that we don’t even notice the force that is moving through us.
And when that force does break through, it often takes another form.
Burnout.
Illness.
Chaos.
And then we numb it, in all kinds of ways.
But when we only try to suppress the symptoms, we miss the essence.
Because this force, this pull, has a purpose.
It is your soul calling.
For me, it came like an explosion.
A sequence of moments in a short period of time.
I felt everything inside me shift.
For years, I had worked on myself. I had done trauma work, deeply felt and explored.
And yet, the real shift – though I didn’t know it at the time – was about to unfold.
The conditions were ready.
I was completely stuck.
Trapped.
I couldn’t sleep.
Fear ruled everything.
I had to do something.
And one thing led to another.
Looking back, it feels like a perfectly orchestrated plan.
As if my soul had placed breadcrumbs along the way, guiding me back home.
Suddenly, new perspectives appeared in my life.
New information, new insights.
Things I had never encountered before – or worse, things I had been taught to fear.
My mind sounded the alarm.
My survival system screamed.
"This is dangerous territory."
"This is outside the comfort zone."
"This could cost me everything."
I felt it immediately.
I knew it immediately.
Yes, this would cost me something.
It would cost me everything I had ever known.
Everything familiar.
Everything that felt like solid ground.
Everything I had learned.
Everything I had believed to be true.
I had clung to it for so long because it was my anchor.
My survival strategy.
And it had served its purpose.
It had kept me safe.
But now?
Now my heart burst wide open.
So strong, so undeniable, unlike anything I had ever experienced before.
It felt like a magnet, pulling me into something greater.
As if everything I needed was being drawn into my life, effortlessly.
I had no choice but to follow.
I chose to say yes.
I made a promise to myself: no matter how terrifying,
From now on, I say YES to my heart.
I will never again make decisions without my heart.
I will never again take a step without it.
My heart leads the way.
No matter how strange it may seem to my mind.
No longer letting my mind scream "No, no, no!"
No longer letting fear dictate my direction.
No longer reaching for control, security, or the old familiar.
When my heart says YES, it is a YES.
Without compromise.
I trust her.
Fully.
More and more.
Every single day.
And I open myself.
I am willing to see differently.
I am willing to look with new eyes.
To be truly, deeply curious.
To let go of everything I thought I knew.
Because just because I had been taught something,
just because I had always believed it,
did that make it true?
I wanted to explore.
And I did.
With my heart in the lead.
The new perspectives that opened up for me brought me expansion beyond anything I could have imagined.
A deep awakening to who I truly am.
To where I truly am.
A journey.
A journey of consciousness.
A journey of remembering.
I realized that everyone has their own unique path.
That there is no right or wrong way.
All we need to do is say ‘yes.’
But because our survival systems are designed to keep us locked in the familiar,
it is so powerful to inspire each other.
To hold each other in these processes.
That’s why I share my story.
Because it grounds me even more.
And maybe, just maybe, it will inspire or help you too.
You don’t have to wait until everything feels perfect.
You don’t have to wait until you have all the answers.
You don’t have to wait until it feels safe.
You only need to be willing.
Are you willing to choose something new?
Are you willing to let go of your mind and follow your heart?
Are you willing to allow yourself to see differently?
Because that’s where it all begins.
With one choice.
One shift.
One moment in which you say:
"Yes, I am willing."
And then you will see…
That space appears.
That lightness returns.
That an opening is revealed—one that was always there, but you just couldn’t see before.
A new perspective can change your entire world.
But it begins with you.
With trust,
Eve
